Background

In light of Egypt’s interest in the construction sector with the increase in national projects, the building materials and metal industry sector faces a great responsibility in achieving the state’s vision of developing the construction plan and completing various national projects in record time with the application of the highest standards. These reasons have increased the importance of the building and construction sector and recently positioned it among the most influential industrial sectors, in addition to the high competitive advantages it enjoys represented in the availability of high-quality natural raw materials from quarries and mineral resources, and the availability of productive capacities that cover local and international needs. Therefore, the sector achieved the highest performance rates in the past two years, as the sector’s growth rate increased to 14.8%, and its contribution to the GDP increased by 6.2% of the total contribution of Egyptian industry.
